Re-blogging my Easter Tangle from last year which is now available as a unique Easter-themed greeting card! See below post for details and links 🙂
I am loving my new cell phone case I ordered from Society6.com! The colours are vibrant and the design is clear. Also the quality seems to be pretty good, but I will update this post after I have seen how to holds up to wear and tear.
This one features my Purple Tangle design which can be found here,, and available for several phone models as well as other items like pillows, totes etc!
Feel free to let me know your thoughts on the case!
Coming up in the next few weeks (starting tomorrow!) I have a bunch of new artwork lined up to share with you all, so stay tuned.
Anyways I hope you are all having a great weekend so far 🙂 It’s a sunny day here in Vancouver so I am heading out for a bike ride.
Hey guys! I hope you are all having a nice weekend.
I am celebrating my birthday this weekend, having dinner with friends and then going out dancing 🙂
I am also settling into my new job nicely, and my boss even took me out for lunch on Friday!
Today I would like to share with you some products I have created from one of my most popular artworks on the blog, my Tangled Face Drawing.
I had to edit it a little bit since the face looked a bit strange from the glue on the other side of the paper. That’s why I have only now finally gotten around to creating products from it.
Here is a little sample of the items on both websites:
Feel free to let me know if there is some other item you would like to see this design on! Be sure to check out both shops for more options 🙂
Cheers and have a fab day,
I have been working with this new floral zentangle inspired design as I posted earlier this month.
For my latest Drawing class assignment I attempted to re-imagine the pattern as a “3D drawing”, which was the focus of the assignment.
Above is the design drawn on foam board and cut out using an X-Acto Knife. I mounted it on the wall slightly raised away from the wall (about 1 inch, using small pieces of foam board) so that you can see the shadows through the parts of the pattern I removed. The piece is about 1.5 x 1.5 feet big. I may paint it or colour it in the future, but won’t have time before it’s due.
Below is my second successful experiment with this pattern, drawn with permanent marker on a Styrofoam ball. First I painted the ball with a few layers of white acrylic paint.
There were a few other attempts I made that did not turn out but I guess you don’t know until you try! Just to give you an idea of what I was working from here is what the pattern looks like in it’s original 2D form:
Anyways I am working on about 5 other projects at once for my courses so I will have lots more to post in the future, so stay tuned!
Have a great weekend everyone, and a Happy Thanksgiving weekend to my fellow Canadians!
I have already added it to a few items in my Zazzle store and plan to add it to many more things in the future
On another note, you may notice I have updated the look and design on the blog, hopefully you guys like it! Let me know what you think!
Have a great day,
Here is another ACEO sized zentangle (2.5″ x 3.5″) I made recently, inspired by the summer, called “Tangled Sandal” .
So far my endeavor to sell these things on eBay has been a total failure in the first couple of weeks. But, as long as I can continue to list them for free I might as well keep on trying!
I was also thinking about giving Zazzle a shot. I can upload my designs on to stationary and accessories or clothing, which might be kind of fun! I will have to do some more research first though to find out if it’s worth it or not. Etsy is another option for the future, but I wanted to get a few sales under my belt before venturing on to there.
Anyways enjoy my latest work, and if you like this please check out my website http://www.julieerindesigns.com.
You can also find this original piece for sale on eBay for very cheap, http://www.ebay.ca/usr/julieerindesigns.
Thanks everyone and have a great day!
