Here is my first new design of 2016!
I actually got to spend some of my Holiday time off making new art!
This is the first in a series of pen and ink drawings I am working on, using my new Speedball Pen and Ink Set, which I am loving working with by the way.
I just find it so much nicer to draw with than regular pens such as the popular Microns or Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens, plus you don’t have to worry about running out of ink all the time! (a small bit of ink goes a long way)
The quality of line just looks so much smoother with the ink pen, and the final product has more of a fine art quality than you get with the regular pens.
This lion piece reflects some of my earlier Zentangle® inspired artwork, which you can see in the pattern of the lion’s mane.
This drawing looks pretty cool on some of the items in my Society6 store!
Leo Biker Tank $28
Leo iPhone Skin $15
Leo Wall Tapestry $39-$79
I haven’t yet added this design to my Zazzle store, but I plan to very soon.
Stay tuned and follow my blog for more designs in this series!
The Undergrad Journal of Art History of UBC chose one of my artworks to be featured in their latest issue! Pretty exciting 😀
This piece is the final installment of my Doodle Art series, which are all drawn in ink (using Speedball Art Products Calligraphy Pen and Ink Set
) with elements of collage. If you missed the other 3 you can see them here, here and here.
It is available now as a print and other products in my Society6 store!
If you like my work you can check out my website, which I am currently in the process of updating (perpetully updating I feel like).

In other news, one of my old ACEO’s I made last year is going to be display in a gallery next Saturday! I will post some more about this later in the week.
Hope you’re all having a great long weekend!
Happy Easter 🙂
A new design -“Tangled Eye” – available now in my Society6 store!
This is the second of several zentangle-inspired, doodle art designs I will be sharing over the next few weeks. If you missed the last one you can see it here!
They are all drawn in ink using my Speedball Art Products Calligraphy Pen and Ink Set, combined with collage elements. As part of my final project for my University course, I attempted to abstract the doodles and make them larger-scale.
I quite like how this abstract eye turned out and I think it fits nicely on some of Society6’s products:
What do you guys think of this piece? I have a few more from this series to share soon so stay tuned 🙂
If you like my work don’t forget to check out my website for more. Also, if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram I can let you know about the latest sales and promotions in my Zazzle and Society6 stores!
Have a great week.
Re-blogging my Easter Tangle from last year which is now available as a unique Easter-themed greeting card! See below post for details and links 🙂
My latest design, titled “Tree of Tangles” (and it’s inverse) is finally finished!
I drew the original black version using my Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Drawing Pens in my Pro-Art Canson 9-Inch by 12-Inch Universal Sketch Book. I then scanned the image into Photoshop and created a second image using it’s inverse!
It is inspired by the rings of a tree which are visible when the trunk is cut horizontally.
Trees are a prominent feature of daily life here in British Columbia, Canada and were a big part of my childhood. B.C. is home to some pretty old and huge ones, such as the 800 year old Douglas Firs on Vancouver Island. If you ever have a chance to visit this region of the world I definitely recommend checking them out!
Anyway, the prints of these two designs are now available in my Society6 and Zazzle stores!
Below is a small sample of other available styles:
I hope you guys have enjoyed seeing my latest designs! Feel free to comment or ask any questions if you have them 🙂
Have a great week.
I am loving my new cell phone case I ordered from Society6.com! The colours are vibrant and the design is clear. Also the quality seems to be pretty good, but I will update this post after I have seen how to holds up to wear and tear.
This one features my Purple Tangle design which can be found here,, and available for several phone models as well as other items like pillows, totes etc!
Feel free to let me know your thoughts on the case!
Coming up in the next few weeks (starting tomorrow!) I have a bunch of new artwork lined up to share with you all, so stay tuned.
Anyways I hope you are all having a great weekend so far 🙂 It’s a sunny day here in Vancouver so I am heading out for a bike ride.
