Wings Ink Drawing

Wings Ink Art Print Angel Bird Wings Art Print $14.56

I’ve added a new design to my shop!

Lately, I went on a bit of an art making binge (as I like to call it) so I will have several new designs to share with you all over the next month or so!  Make sure to follow my blog if you want to see them all 🙂

This is the next one in my series of ink drawings done with my Speedball Pen and Ink Set, which I call “Wings”.  (I know, my titles are sooo non creative.  I am the worst at naming things.  My cat’s name is Kitty okay!!).

Anyway, this design looks pretty cool on some of the items in my Society6 store! Check them out below:Wings tank top

I love the look created by the quill pen and ink, especially with these kinds of very repetitive designs.  The hardest part was trying to be careful not to smudge the wet ink with my hand!

Also I love how you can put the wings on the back side of this hoody!

Wings back black hoody Wings Hoody (Back Print) $42

And then you can use the wings as a backdrop for your next party, using this tapestry! Imagine the cute selfies!

Ok well I think that’s enough for today, if you’d like to see all of the items featuring this design make sure to check out my Society6 store!

Have a great week everyone ~

Cheers,

Julie

Tangled Face with Sunglasses – ACEO Art Card

face sunglasses

I’ve been making so many of these little miniature artworks lately!  This is my latest piece, drawn with my new Faber Castel Pitt artist pens combined with collage.

I am trying to work a little bit with shading to make them really pop!

ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals.

ACEO’s are miniature artworks the size of baseball cards, 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size, and they are a spin off of ATC’s or Artist  Trading Cards.  They are highly collectible (and affordable), and they come in a variety of styles which are sold on eBay and other websites.

My latest creative venture involves creating miniature zentangle inspired/collage drawings like this one.  This is the first one I made.

ACEO stands Art Cards, Editions and Originals.

I might start doing like a drawing a day type of thing since I am pumping these things out like crazy!  They are super fun to make 🙂

Tangled Skull with Headphones

skull art design headphones

This is a new zentangle style drawing I did of a skull and crossbones wearing headphones!

It is inspired by my recent trip to Ibiza where I saw lots of t-shirts with similar designs but not tangled like this one is.

I drew this design using my Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Drawing Pens in my Pro-Art Canson 9-Inch by12-Inch Universal Sketch Book. I then scanned the drawing into Photoshop and played around with it a bit.

I couldn’t decide if I liked it better with or without the crossbones though so I made both versions!

You can also now purchase this design on tons of items in my Zazzle store!  This top is one of my most popular items!

Jupiter Drawing in Pencil and Conte

Jupiter pencil drawing conte art illustration space

This is a drawing of Jupiter which I made for my print class.

I did not wind up making this one into a lithographic print, however I thought it turned out nice enough to share.

This drawing was done in pencil and black conte on paper, 24″ x 36″.

I’m quite enjoying creating these space themed pieces.  Stay tuned for more!

Cheers,

~Julie
