Tangled Eye Design

A new design -“Tangled Eye” – available now in my Society6 store!

This is the second of several zentangle-inspired, doodle art designs I will be sharing over the next few weeks.  If you missed the last one you can see it here!

They are all drawn in ink using my Speedball Art Products Calligraphy Pen and Ink Set, combined with collage elements. As part of my final project for my University course, I attempted to abstract the doodles and make them larger-scale.

I quite like how this abstract eye turned out and I think it fits nicely on some of Society6’s products:

Black Lips Doodle Art

black lips zentangle drawing

This is the first piece from a new series I will be sharing over the next few weeks!  I have 5 drawings that were all part of a series titled “Doodle Magazine”.

They are all drawn in ink using my Speedball Art Products Calligraphy Pen and Ink Set, and feature collage elements.

One of them (not shown here) is going to be published in the upcoming issue of the UBC Undergrad Journal of Art History!!  This is pretty exciting for me so I will be posting more about it once the process is complete 🙂

This piece is sort-of zentangle inspired and was part of my final project at Uni so I tried to abstract the “tangles” and also make them quite a bit larger in scale.  I described the process to my class as my attempt to to “elevate the doodle”.

Hopefully I have succeeded somewhat, what do you guys think?

Here is how this design looks on few items in my Society6 store…  Not bad right?

This one features my Purple Tangle design which can be found here,, and available for several phone models as well as other items like pillows, totes etc!

Tangled Face Products Now Available!

Hey guys! I hope you are all having a nice weekend.
I am celebrating my birthday this weekend, having dinner with friends and then going out dancing 🙂
I am also settling into my new job nicely, and my boss even took me out for lunch on Friday!

Today I would like to share with you some products I have created from one of my most popular artworks on the blog, my Tangled Face Drawing.

I had to edit it a little bit since the face looked a bit strange from the glue on the other side of the paper.   That’s why I have only now finally gotten around to creating products from it.

I have added items with this design to both my Zazzle store and my new store on Society6.

Here is a little sample of the items on both websites:

Feel free to let me know if there is some other item you would like to see this design on!  Be sure to check out both shops for more options 🙂

Cheers and have a fab day,

~Julie
