Feast your eyes on my latest designs!
I’m getting a little behind on sharing my new designs here on the blog, so today I’m posting these 2 similarly themed pieces, Doughnut Pattern and Eclair!
These were both originally painted in watercolour, then scanned and digitally altered and arranged.
I think they both turned out pretty cute on items in my Society6 and Redbubble stores!
Every time I look at this eclair piece it makes me hungry….
Eclair Wall Tapestry
Doughnut Pattern Leggings
Doughnut Pattern Throw Pillow
Eclair Tote Bag
Doughnut Pattern Comforter
(Seriously though, who doesn’t need a doughnut pattern comforter!?)
Well, now I’m off to the local bakery… haha, just kidding.
Anyways I hope you guys like these, feel free to let me know what you think by leaving a comment below!
Also, I will be away on vacation next week so there may or may not be a new post… you’ll just have to follow my blog to find out!
Hope you all have a great week.
Tropical vibes coming your way!
Hey guys! I have been dreaming of summer days lately, so I created these 2 watercolor tropical leaf patterns. I think they turned out pretty nice!
I am looking forward to my upcoming trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, which is less than 1 month away and I couldn’t be more excited to escape the gloomy weather here in Vancouver (we’ve actually gotten a lot of snow this winter which is unusual here). I feel like we’ve had a real Canadian winter for once, but I’m tired of it! Take me to the beach!
In my mind at least I can escape with these bright patterns…
Neon Palm Leaf Pattern Chiffon Top
Tropical Leaf Pattern Contrast Tank
Neon Palm Leaf Pattern iPhone Case
Tropical Leaf Pattern Leggings
Neon Palm Leaf Pattern Drawstring Bag (beach ready!)
Tropical Leaf Pattern Carry-all Pouch (Set of 3)
I hope these patterns make you feel a bit warmer today! Feel free to let me know what you think about them in the comments below. Make sure you follow my blog so you don’t miss my next post!
Have a great week.
I made this mermaid inspired pattern to share with you all today!
For this piece I painted a freestyle pattern using the watercolour set I got for Christmas.
I think this design turned out really nicely and it is very versatile. It still retains its hand-painted look even after being scanned and digitally manipulated. I wonder how it will look when printed on the real life items.
Here is how it looks on some of the products in my Society6 and Redbubble stores!
Mermaid Inspired Pattern Drawstring Backpack
Mermaid Inspired Pattern Rectangular Throw Pillow
Mermaid Inspired Pattern Samsung Galaxy Case (other models available)
Mermaid Inspired Pattern Silk Scarf
Mermaid Inspired Pattern Wall Tapestry (available in 3 sizes)
I really like this colour combination. I wonder if I should also submit the image “flipped” (upside down) so it looks more like actual scales. What do you guys think?
There will be some more patterns made from my watercolour paintings coming soon so make sure to follow my blog so you don’t miss them!
Cheers, and thanks for stopping by.
I have a new design to share with you all this week, I decided to make my own version of the “Pug Life” trend I have been seeing around!
This was created using the watercolour paintings I did a few weeks back.
Here is how it turned out on variety of items in my Society6 and Redbubble stores:
Pug Life Clear iPhone Case
Pug Life Throw Pillow
Pug Life Biker Tank
Pug Life Sticker
Pug Life Scoop Neck Fitted T-Shirt
Pug Life Spiral Notebook
I hope you like it, feel free to leave a comment below!
I apologize for the super brief post this week, I have a lot going on with work etc.
Catch you all later!
Who doesn’t love pizza? Now you can express your love of pizza with a dress! Or a sticker, or a onesie, or a pillow, or a cell phone case… #thingsineverknewineeded.
This design was painted by hand with watercolour paints and then scanned on to my computer where I finished it off in Photoshop. You may recognize it from last weeks’ post where I showed off some of my various watercolour experiments.
I created a repeating pattern from the pizza and also used a single slice for some of the products where it made more sense.
Here is what it looks like on some more of the items in my Society6 and Redbubble stores:
Pizza Pattern iPhone Case
Pizza Pattern Beach Towel
Pizza Scoop Neck Fitted T-Shirt
Pizza Pattern Contrast Tank
Pizza Pattern Laptop Sleeve
Ok I had way too much fun with this design and also it makes me hungry every time I look at it – LOL!
I hope you guys like it, let me know what you think in the comments below.
In other news, I have been working on a bunch of new designs lately (went on one of my “Art binges”) so stay tuned for those very soon, and make sure you follow my blog so you don’t miss them!
I also plan on doing a bit of housekeeping on the site so don’t be surprised if you notice a few changes around here in the near future!
I have been using my new watercolour set quite a bit over the past few weeks and thought I would share some of my paintings with you guys!
I started off with a few tutorials to get my artistic juices flowing, such as this watercolour feather tutorial which I used for the feathers in the image above.
I have already been using some of these paintings for my finished designs, like the diamond below you may recognize from my Watercolour Diamond Pattern that I shared last week.
I followed this tutorial in order to create these beautiful (and easy) watercolour gemstones! I also referenced this step-by-step tutorial in order to draw the diamond shape correctly.
Here I was working on my calligraphy and lettering skills by painting out some words that I can mix and match in various ways (sexy pizza pie anyone?).
Here is a close up of the pug face I painted! I think it turned out pretty good.
This slice of pizza is going to come in handy for some cute new designs (and is making me hungry).
Make sure you follow my blog so you can find out how I will use these in my upcoming designs!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my sketchbook watercolour paintings, and a bit of the preliminary process of creating my finished designs. Let me know what you think!!
Have a great week everyone.
