Here’s one for the nature lovers.
My latest design was inspired by a recent hike I went on.
Here is the view from the top of the trail. This photo was taken from the top of the Dog Mountain trail which starts on Mount Seymour, in North Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
It was a nice, clear day but there were actually still several feet of snow on the mountain, even in early June! It was a good, brisk hike and a lot of fun.
This design works especially well on t-shirts, and would make a great gift for someone in your life who likes hiking our mountain climbing.
It is available now on fashion, accessories and home decor products in my Society6 and Redbubble stores!
Here are a few examples:
I Climb Mountains – Blue – Hoody
I Climb Mountains – Green – Throw Pillow
I Climb Mountains – Blue – Drawstring Backpack
I Climb Mountains – Green – Tapestry
I encourage you to check out the full line on Society6 and Redbubble.

Have a great week everyone!
I have a new design in my shops called “Water Mandala”.
This mandala was originally drawn by hand, then scanned and layered over top of a photo I took of the water in a swimming pool!
I think it turned out pretty nice on the products in my Society6 and Redbubble stores. I really love the texture and colour of the swimming pool water, and the mandala stands out nicely layered over it in white. What do you guys think?

Have a great week.
My friends, I have created some templates to help draw mandalas more easily!
Using these, you will no longer need to use a compass or random household objects to draw circles for your mandalas.
To download the templates: Click on the image of the template to open in full size, then right click and download or print straight from your browser.
Then, you can either draw straight on the print-out or place it underneath another sheet of paper and trace.
In person the lines underneath are more apparent, so it is very easy to see and trace them. I simply used a few paperclips to keep the 2 pieces of paper together, but you could use a bit of tape or something else you have handy.
Note: The image above shows the template under printer paper so it may show through sketchbook paper slightly less, but should still be well enough to trace.
This second template with no cross lines works better if you are going for a more free-style of mandala design.
Here are a couple of mandalas I made with these templates:
I used the first template to draw the coloured mandala by tracing it, and for the black and white mandala I drew it straight on the printed out template without the cross lines.
I hope you guys will find these templates useful, I know I will be using them! No more drawing circles with cups and plates for me.
If you wind up using these templates feel free to link a photo your artwork in the comments section below! I’d love to see your creations.

I have a new design to share with you all this week, Ornate Vintage Pattern.
Inspired by decorative Victorian patterns, this design was hand drawn and then scanned and turned into a repeat pattern digitally.
(The first stage – drawing the design and outlining in black marker)
This is only the first version of this design, I plan on making a few more colour combinations.
Here is how it looks on products in my Society6 and Redbubble stores:
Ornate Vintage Pattern Rectangular Pillow
Ornate Vintage Pattern A-Line Dress
If you have any particular requests for colour combinations of this design, let me know!
Ornate Vintage Pattern Window Curtains
Oh yeah did I mention you can now get my art on window curtains? So cool!
Ornate Vintage Pattern Studio Pouch
Ornate Vintage Pattern Notebook or Sketchbook

Have a great week!
I just got back from a long weekend road trip so I don’t have any new designs to share this week, but I thought I would show you guys some funny/trendy designs
from my “experimental” Zazzle store.
This is the first time I’ve shared any of the creations from this store.
Some of them could make really cute and unique gifts!
Most of these products I created just for fun and are inspired by other funny or trendy designs I have seen around the web.
I feel like these “experimental” designs don’t really go with the theme of my Julie Erin Designs store
, which is why I created a separate Zazzle store for them.
This is one of the things I like about using Zazzle to sell my artwork, the fact that you can have multiple different stores under the same account.
Honestly, I created this magnet for myself – to use on my own dishwasher at home!
This t-shirt design was inspired by something I saw on E-bay.
I created this design after my trip to Paris in 2015.
This one I made in order to show some Canadian pride “down there”!
Here you can create your own custom mix-tape throw pillow!
And another pillow I made covered in funky “Text Speak”.
Feel free to let me know what you think of these designs by leaving a comment below! I know they are different from my usual style so I am interested to know your reaction!
