Sausage and Perogi Bake


This is an easy and very tasty comfort food dish!



1 jar tomato-based pasta sauce (or use home-made if you like!)

1 cup shredded cheese of your choice (I used a Jarlsberg.  I would suggest a mozzarella, marble cheddar or swiss, or just whatever you like/have!)

1 bag frozen perogies.

4-6 italian sausages, mild or hot.



Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease up a casserole dish or something like the one in the above photo.

Cut up the sausages into smaller pieces and fry them in a pan until they are cooked through.

Layer the bottom of the casserole dish with perogies.  You may not need to use the whole bag depending on the size of the dish.  I used about 3/4 of a bag.

On top of the perogies evenly distribute the sausage pieces, followed by the jar of sauce, and finally topped with the cup of cheese.

Bake in the oven, uncovered, for 35 minutes or until it begins to brown on top.

Here is the finished product.  I know it doesn’t look like much but it’s super yummy, I promise!
