I haven’t been making a lot of things lately, except for on IMVU I’ve been making 3d hairstyles which is really time consuming.
Well I thought at least I would share a dinner recipe I made last night!
Spaghetti and Beef-Pork Meatballs. I have loved spaghetti and meatballs since I was little and so I love to make it and try different variations. I decided to change things up by mixing ground beef and ground pork together for the meathballs, and they turned out great! Try for yourself ~
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 green bell pepper
5 sliced mushrooms
1/2 jar tomato pasta sauce (I used Ragu which was on sale this week, but somtimes I make my own sauce – it just takes longer)
To make and season the meatballs:
1/3 cup flour
ground black pepper
1 tbsp worchestershire
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
pinch of rosemary
salt to taste
Directions: Prepare the meat balls by putting all the ingredients in a bowl and mixing them together with your hands. Place them in one layer on a frying pan and fry until browned then flip over and brown the other side and then if you can flip them one more time do so,
In the meantime get the water boiling for the pasta and chop up the veggies. You can substitute other veggies you have in your fridge. I used mushroom and green bell pepper.
Cook pasta as directed. I used angel hair pasta, because it’s my favourite. You can use any pasta you have on hand.
Once the meatballs are browned and cooked through, pour the half jar of sauce and stir, turning the heat down to medium-low. Wait until the pasta is almost done cooking and then add the veggies in. Throw in a little salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the sauce for about 5 minutes longer.
Pour the meatballs and sauce over top of the noodles. Would have been great topped with Parmesan cheese but I couldn’t find any at the store this time 😦 Anyways, enjoy!
Best of luck ~
